Celine’s collection of 2019 Spring/Summer show was released at the Hotel des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Two years later, Hedi Slimane returns to the fashion circle after leaving two years, and takes over the position of Celine’s creative director from Phoebe Philo. New era’s Celine was finally unveiled its mystery in front of us. However, the glittering sequins embellished, exaggerated shoulder pads, wild outlines and geometric shapes which are Hedi Slimane’s most familiar design languages in fashion are not fitted to the old Celine’s followers.

According to the estimation of professional analyst, during her ten years as Celine’s creative director, Phoebe Philo has won a large amount of female loyal fans by her minimalist design style. Even as a mother of three children, Philo wears her own designs and always keeps an independent and elegant in front of us. Her personal style reflects her design aesthetics. She is a representative of women with thoughtful thinking, independent personality and strong abilities.

However, Celine’s old era is over as Philo left from the position of Celine’s creative director. Since the news of her departure was spread out, her loyal followers feel so worried and sad: What kind of   clothes can replace Céline’s classic dresses, shirts and knitwear to fill their wardrobes in the future? They rushed to Celine stores and major department stores, in order to get the last several designs from Philo. In the second-hand market, the scenes were as same as the boutique stores, the shoppers’ demands for old Celine items has soared in these days.

During the Paris Fashion Week on Friday, a group of Philo’s followers gathered at Place Dauphin to commemorate the end of Celine’s old era.
